Kenya Mission Update – Summer 2026

Thanks to your prayers and support, our partner church in Nairobi, Kenya, kept caring for neighbours in great need this summer. Here are some of the people your gifts reached between June and August 2026.

Care for the sick

  • A man found by the river. A man who could not speak or walk was found by a riverbank and left outside a hospital, where he spent a cold night unattended. When church members heard, they took him in, washed him and had him admitted to hospital. Sadly, he passed away about five days later. Please pray for the many people in Nairobi who have no one to care for them.
  • Walking again. A church member whose surgery had been delayed finally had her operation in August. She is walking again with crutches while her leg heals.
  • A grandmother with diabetes. A widowed grandmother whose feet are swollen and wounded from diabetes could barely walk. The church took her to hospital and helped her get the medicine she needs.

Keeping children in school

  • The same grandmother’s youngest son, now 16, never finished primary school. The church paid his fees so he could return to Class 6, and plans to support him into secondary school next January.
  • A Class 6 girl, left by her mother at age two, has been raised by a neighbour as her own daughter. Her school fees were more than a year behind. The church paid them and has promised to help her through secondary school.
  • A boy whose mother and grandfather have both died is now looked after by a neighbour. The church brings food regularly and has promised to help with his secondary education.
  • A 14-year-old girl who never finished primary school is getting help to receive counselling and care.

Standing with a widow

A mother of three lost her husband suddenly last year. The church is now walking alongside her family.
