Who we are

Yehoah-Rapha Prayer House (YRPH) is a registered Canadian charity based in Markham, Ontario. We believe faith should show up as practical help. Alongside worship and Bible teaching, we run programs that serve anyone in need, free of charge.

Our charitable purposes

  1. To advance religion by teaching the tenets, doctrines and observances of the Christian faith, and by supporting mission work abroad.
  2. To advance education through scholarships and bursaries for students in financial need, and free math learning for Ontario students.
  3. To serve our community through free tax filing with the Canada Revenue Agency’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP), and free Christian counselling.

Our story

  • June 2018: YRPH began as a scholarship and bursary program, helping families send elementary and middle-school students to a Christian school.
  • March 2021: We opened our first virtual free tax clinic with 5 CRA-trained volunteers, and launched free online tutoring for Grades 5 to 8.
  • January 2022: We began monthly support for Overflowing Church in Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya.
  • 2024 and 2025: We hosted free tax clinics, including with the Jane/Sheppard branch of the Toronto Public Library, and received Certificates of Appreciation from the Canada Revenue Agency.
  • 2026: We launched Ontario Math, the Singapore Way, free Grade 8 math lessons online.
