Alongside our work in Canada and Kenya, Yehoah-Rapha Prayer House sponsors seven children through Compassion Canada. Each sponsorship connects a child living in poverty with a local church that walks with them through childhood.
Our seven children
- 6 countries: Colombia, Guatemala, Haiti, Nicaragua (2 children), Rwanda and Thailand
- Ages 3 to 12: five girls and two boys
What sponsorship provides
Through Compassion’s church partners, each child receives support for:
- Education: help to stay in school and keep learning
- Health care: check-ups and medical care when they need it
- Nutrition: nutritious food
- Spiritual growth: a church family that cares for them
We also write letters to our children, and they write back. Their letters are one of the best parts of this work.
Seeing it through
Some of the children we have sponsored have now finished the program. One young person from Nicaragua graduated at 18 and wrote to thank us:
“I thank you for all the time I was sponsored by you. It was a great blessing.”
